Hopscotch Music Festival is returning to downtown Raleigh with an even bigger and better fest in 2023. They’re bringing the boring 20’s to life with a jam-packed weekend featuring a top notch lineup of artists and bands, outdoor stages, late-night shows, and day parties.
Highlights:
- Lineup: The festival brings one of the best lineups yet with big names like Pavement, Denzel Curry, Japanese Breakfast, King Krule, Margo Price, Dinosaur Jr., and many others. Last year’s lineup of around 30 bands grew to nearly 90 bands this year, bringing the festival back to its pre pandemic glory.
- Tickets: Limited 3-day GA and VIP passes are available. The 3-day GA pass, priced at $175, offers access to music at City Plaza and Moore Square stages and late-night sets at participating clubs in downtown Raleigh. The 3-day VIP + Club Fast Pass, priced at $375, provides priority access to late-night sets, access to the VIP Oak Lounge at City Plaza and Moore Square, pre-show parties, and a VIP Swag Bag.
- History & Impact: Since its inception in 2010, Hopscotch has attracted crowds from across the Southeast with its blend of indie acts and homegrown talent. The festival has hosted big names like Solange, Run the Jewels, Erykah Badu, Beach House, The Flaming Lips and many more. Hopscotch has remained a premiere regional festival, deeply rooted in its home city, and is known for its dedication to local live music lovers.
- Local Acts: Hopscotch is also known for elevating local acts. This year’s lineup includes performances from local artists such as Anjimile, Rosali, Chessa Rich, Truth Club, Larry & Joe, Pat Junior, Skylar Gudasz, and Columbia bands Dear Blanca and Numbtongue.
- Comedy Segment: For the first time, comedy is being added to the festival. Comedians like Sarah Sherman (known professionally as Sarah Squirm) and Whitmer Thomas will be performing, with Whitmer also showcasing music with his band.
