David here. In 2008 I started SceneSC on a whim to help support the South Carolina music scene and independent artists.
The website grew to feature photography, live music sessions and series, and hosting events featuring both touring acts and local artists. I’m proud of what we accomplished through 2020, with 10 SC music compilations, hundreds of videos published, and traveling throughout the country to music festivals and conferences to share our love of SC music.
While this was incredibly rewarding personally, it has always operated as a labor of love and typically off my own dime.
