Tuesday night at New Brookland Tavern we’re hosting a Free viewing and listening party for the new White Stripes CD/DVD Under Great White Northern Lights. If that’s not enough reason for you to come, we’ve got all kinds of stuff to give away.
We’ve got every White Stripes release ever on CD, and I can’t decide whether I’m giving this away as a package or maybe just let people win the CD’s they don’t yet have. We’ll have to see. We have 1 deluxe vinyl that I’ve already heard that a lot of people want. I think we’ll have a raffle for this one. In addition to these we’ll be giving away the DVD along with laminated passes, collectors postcards and posters and movie sized posters that are huge and awesome. We’ve got about 30 of each of those and those will be first come first serve.
Right now we have 50 people confirmed for this, so we should have a big crowd out there to celebrate.
On a side note, this is the first event that we’ve had the opportunity to put on and it’s cool that Columbia was chosen as a location to do this. If we do a good job and make this successful we’ll be able to do more things like this with other bands. I’ve always seen Scene SC as a community effort so let’s all get together tomorrow night and hang out and watch the movie.
