Slow Runner doesn’t play enough and this will probably be the last time that they play songs live for awhile. How does this make us feel? It pisses us off. We love good music and Slow Runner has forever been one of our favorite South Carolina bands. I just wish Scene SC was around more during their prime.

And as one band is taking a break, a fine young band emerges. The boys in Wylie have been hard at work refining their live show and writing for their first full length album due out next year. Every time I talk to them they say they have a new hit song written, and I always call bull shit, then I hear them live and understand that they are telling the truth. We’re just waiting for the day that Wylie turns the corner on having a huge fan base. 2010 has been a great year for them, networking around the state, building a fan base and growing as a band. We’re calling 2011 their breakout year.
