Tomorrow night at the House of Softcore we have three great acts including local favorites American Gun and DayClean and Louis DeFabrizio of Gasoline Heart on his Man Without a Band tour.
Louis DeFabrizio recently hit the road without his band making his way up and down the East Coast, roads that he has become familiar to. Louis recently hit the road solo with The Atari’s playing to punk rock kids in different cities across America every night. He enjoyed the traveling and being solo on the road so much that he decided to do it again.
We recently posted some Gasoline Heart videos here. One of the best parts about house shows is getting to know the artists that are on tour and meeting some from your home town. Louis has a big personality and it comes out in his live show. You’ll love it.
Opening the night will be DayClean who we saw for the first time at this years Music Crawl. Two of the most talented musicians you’ll see around, the Day Clean duo is made up of Marcus Thomas on classical guitar and Idris Chandler on cello. We couldn’t be more excited to have a new dynamic at the house.
Headlining the night will be Todd Mathis of American Gun who just released a solo album titled War Songs a couple of weeks ago. House shows are the perfect atmosphere to hear the stories behind the music. Todd will be playing a mix of his own songs and American Gun songs and if we’re lucky he might play a Christmas song or two.
Both Day Clean and Mathis have played Christmas shows in the last week. Mathis was part of the powerhouse line up at Christmas at Red Band and Day Clean part of the Mingle and Jingle on Main in downtown Columbia.
