Just a couple of weeks ago I wrote a show preview for Slow Runner, thinking that it might be one of the last that I write about them. On Tuesday night I was enjoying a slice of za at Mellow Mushroom and I was overloaded with the information that Slow Runner was playing a show with William Fitzsimmons in Charlotte. I was doubly excited because we’re huge fans of William Fitzsimmons and Slow Runner.
But this isn’t just a Charlotte show. This is an 18,000 mile trek through 46 cities across the US where Slow Runner will not only be opening the show, but they will also be performing as Fitzsimmon’s backing band. Each date will be in support of their new album “Damage Points” which is set for release on March 15. The release show for the new album will be March 12 at The Pour House in Charleston.
