I’m not sure any duo is better suited for a Daytrotter performance than Shovels and Rope, the project of Charleston’s Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst. We saw them at The House in 5 Points Saturday night and they have a stripped down live performance that would be just as common on someones front porch as to a music venue.
Just as their Daytrotter is released Shovels and Ropes also announce that they’ll be touring until the cows come home. They’ve announced dates extending through May all over the East Coast and throughout the Midwest.
