Forces of a Street- Wait and See EP Free Download
In addition to the free EP offered above, Forces of a Street currently have a contest going on called the “Before You Protest” contest. FoaS have a new project coming out later this year and are looking for original artwork in the style of Canyon Deveraux.
All the information you need to get your artwork in can be found below.
Starting today, April 5, 2011, the kindly Futurist folks at Forces of a Street proudly announce the beginning of the “Before You Protest” CONTEST. Forces of a Street is diligently searching for the next interesting piece of original artwork in the vein of Canyon Deveraux which may be used to promote an upcoming project in the next several months.
No artistic experience is necessary- initiative and confidence though is readily encouraged. Simply email your piece to forcesofastreet@gmail.com. The only requirement is for your submission to be an original piece. Black and white, inked, pencil sketches, watercolors, its all fair game. And if you have any questions, go ahead and email us as well. Show us whats on your mind.
Scanned images are preferable. But if you would rather snap a camera shot of your piece, those are also welcome- we will email you back if we wish to see your image with additional clarity.
On May 1st, the winner will be announced here on our site www.forcesofastreet.com as a result of an internal band vote.
Enter and win a $50 bar tab to Columbia’s very own Art Bar for the June 18th Forces of a Street show, a 12×10 framed Canyon Devereaux mosaic, plus additional gear that every Futurist artist should have.
Also, the winning piece will be used for promotional purposes throughout the southeast, beginning with the May 29th Charleston Memorial Day Music Festival, to advertise the release of Future: YALL– a compilation album of South Carolina’s most cutting edge musical acts featuring Pan, Death Becomes Even the Maiden, Sea Wolf Mutiny, The Flagship Admirals, The Dirty Lowdown, Tor Johnson, and more.
The artwork will also play a major promotional role leading up to the release of Forces of a Street’s second LP- scheduled to touch down in early Fall 2011.
That’s enough from me. We look forward to checking out your submissions. Until then.
Long see, no time.
