ALRIGHT, it’s my birthday. So that means I can do whatever I want. That also means I can write whatever I want, amirite? So I’m definitely going to advertise the most important thing in the entire world first off. NEXT WEEK, my band One Two Skidoo are opening for one of the most amazing bands ever, Stepdad. That is going to be next Thursday, July 7 at New Brookland Tavern. Starting today, we are going to be putting up posters all over town to promote it so I’m sure you’ll see one. I promise you that we will pretty much blow your mind. And that’s a promise that not a lot of bands can live up to. But we got damn can. Come to the show, you will have your mind blown. Whatever.
Anyways, I have been listening to some sweet music lately so you should definitely check some of this out.
1) COLDPLAY’S NEW SINGLE – Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall is so awesome. So many people hate on Coldplay for no real apparent reason, they are super talented and have such good music. Their live shows are incredible. Listen to their new single, it’s awesome.
2) Wild Beasts – Okay, Wild Beasts are a band from England that you need to get right on top of. The singer has a ridiculous falsetto and the drummer sings as well, and they’re both just astounding. They’re going to be playing in Atlanta and Carrboro in October and you gotta guarantee that I’ll be there.
OKAY, I don’t wanna talk about music anymore. You know what’s the worst thing in the entire world? Being allergic to cats. Like, seriously, I want a cat more than anything in the world but I can’t. Last time I hung out with a cat my right eye swelled up and I couldn’t see out of it for 12 hours, WHAT IS GOING ON? That shouldn’t happen.
Ellie Goulding is the most amazing woman in the entire world.
OMG I WANT TO GO TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL IN A FOREST. Imagine that. That would be the coolest thing in the entire world. Like, partying with the foxes and deer. That would definitely be a spirit animal experience.
