About Littlest Sounds

Littlest Sounds began as a means through which the band Commerce released their music. However, in the winter of 2011, something needed to happen… a change needed to take place. So Matt, with the help of his wife, Melanie, started thinking of ways to grow the art of their friends and also other bands they liked and listened to.

The idea was to release a monthly digital compilation of all of these artists they loved. Seemed easy enough in theory, and it actually was. Almost every person of contact was gracious enough to allow one of their songs to be a part of the project. So much so, that before the project was even launched, they had enough different music to fill the first 3 comps.

So whatever month it is, you, as the listener, should know that the bands you hear on this site are kind people who create very good music. Try your best to support and connect with the ones you like, because chances are they’d be excited to hear from you. This could not keep happening if it weren’t for the bands that give of their time and music or the listeners that also give of their time and their ears. We are equally grateful for both.
