#TwitterThursday with @hissgldnmssr and @bravebabymusic

We survived the week, you guys!  I hope the election did not cost you too many Facebook friends or Twitter followers.  If it did, though, I have some tweet-ers who might can help you fill those post #decision2012 voids you incurred.

Our first #TwitterThursday account got some good news today.  @hissgldnmssr was announced as one of the first wave of artists added to the SXSW festival this coming year.  I know, you’re thinking, “Didn’t South-by just happen?”  It sure does seem like it, but passes for 2013 are already on sale.  So far, no SC bands have been added to the bill, but @hissgldnmssr out of Durham is going to bring a little of the Carolinas to Texas for us.

I realize that I gush over every single person I write about on #TwitterThursday, but bear with me.  I don’t know anyone else in my tweet circle who would post a Miles Davis performance from Denmark in the 70s.  If my brother tweeted, he probably would, actually.  So, I guess @hissgldnmssr, I love you like a brother?  You seem super cool–like the cool older brother who gives you hand-me-down band shirts and talks about when music was real.  Can we have coffee and exchange mixtapes?

Newer to Twitter, @hissgldnmssr seems to be an avid responder.  If you like artists you can personally interact with, you should follow this gent.  You should also check out the tunes, man.  I am officially obsessed.  I think you’ll be pleased with yourself if you do so.

Up next, we have the adorable Brave Baby tweeting on @bravebabymusic.  Am I allowed to call you adorable?  Please send all complaints in the form of tacos to my headquarters.  I’ll get the message.

If you’re eating those tacos, I can assume they aren’t complaints headed my way, right?  Ok good.  I’d hate to think we aren’t on good terms.

Viva La Ladson might sound funny to some, but it’s actually the official city motto.  I appreciate that @bravebabymusic is showing some love to one of the lesser known Berkeley County locales.  Viva La Ladson, indeed.

There’s so much I love about this photograph, I can’t even begin to talk about it without getting verklempt.  An arm injury does not stop the work of rock.  Do it!  Show some label love!  For the awesomeness of all the things this tweet combines–hardwork, label love, label mate support, the word nude–you should at the least check out @bravebabymusic‘s music.  And tweets.  And shows when they add more.  And whatever else they want.  Seriously.

Think you know a band or something in the SC area that needs the attention of #TwitterThursday?  Send it to @SceneSC and remember to hashtag it!  Without that hashtag we will have no idea what you could possibly mean.
