#TwitterThursday with @JUBEEATMA and Favorites of the Week

Do you ever randomly get this song stuck in your head on your drive home from work? Me either. I also never cried in elementary school because my dad wouldn’t take me to Freaknik. Or cried when Freaknik was outlawed. I never did any of these things. What I did do was read a lot of tweets this week. I had some knowledge dropped on me by one Mr. JuBee.

@JUBEEATMA are a Brooklyn/Macon, GA outfit that specializes in a blend of indie/hip-hop/funk/who-cares-let’s-party.  Considering that most of the twitpics have Mr. JuBee himself in them, I am assuming he runs the twitter and that I can thank him for this tidbit of information:

I’d also like to add that living on the second floor and running the dryer help as well.  I’m all for saving on utilities, because that allows more PBRs to be purchased and consumed.  Another bit of knowledge for your viewing pleasure:

Truer words have never been spoken.  I’m going to get this tattooed on me somewhere because I need to remember it always.  I am like the dude from Memento.

If you want some of the @JUBEEATMA wisdom party for yourself, you’re in luck:

If the Columbus show was any indication, you’re going to want to be there:

Indeed I do, indeed I do.

Also this week I decided to take a look back at my favorites.  Favorites are a funny thing because I would say that I hadn’t favorited anything until maybe 6-8 months ago.  I read a tweet that said, “Think of favorites as high-fives,” and after that I went full force into the favorites.  However, upon looking back at them, it’s clear that I have questionable judgement on what is deserving of high-fives.

Yes, I favorited a tweet about bread.  I am what’s wrong with America.

All of us, in this case, included me.  I agreed whole heartedly with this tweet and I don’t know if I hate or love myself because of it.

I favorited this mostly because I hope to one day have a four year old who shouts “How ya like me now?” at everyone.  I feel like somehow this child is my spirit animal and we will be united in a far away time and place.  He might even try to kill me one day like Gordon-Levitt did Willis in Looper.

You may have also noticed the “More” icon on tweets now.  You can directly email tweets to your friends.  No more copy/paste or screenshots for you my friend.  Try it today.  Just don’t email any of my tweets to Big Roy.  That’s my dad.

If you find a Twitter account that we must feature, please send the info to @SceneSC and use the hashtag #TwitterThursday.  If you don’t my spirit animal is going to “How ya like me know?” you.
